Why Choose this ?
Alright so it says that you should be good if you're at a desk that is 27" minimum (assuming you're around 5'10. My desk is 25" and I'm 5'10 and I'm doing alright just sitting back a bit extra. I'm only leaning forward slightly and it's still fairly comfortable. So basically you may be able to cheat a bit on table height if your arms aren't really short. Shorter people may be able to get away with even more.A review of the DeskCycle, a bike pedal exerciser you can use under your desk |

My cycle came with two monitors, one that attaches to the cycle as seen
in the picture and one that can go on your desk. It comes with a velcro
strap to attach to a regular chair or even a rolling office chair. Great
Product, well made and very sturdy.
Reviews/Advantages
The pedal arms have the same length as the MagneTrainer. However, given the pedal position and seating dynamics the MagneTrainer has more motion with a feel of a regular recumbant exercise bike so you get a bit more of a workout with that. I can read a book or study while cycling which is a plus. The cycle is quiet and smooth. I have school full time online, and need something that can give me a workout without having to take time away from my studies. Two weeks later and I've really gotten used to this little machine. It's dead silent, easy to pedal in a way that feels natural and smooth, and does not slide around. The resistance on this DeskCycle Desk Exercise Bike Pedal Exerciser simply feels smooth but requires more effort, there is no fighting an artificial brake feeling. I no longer hit my heels on the front beam.
So Pros:
It works
It looks sleek and nice
It's fairly small
It isn't TOO heavy(25lbs)
It's comfortable to use. I started off with my running shoes on, then switched to socks, and now I'm doing it with slippers on. With just my socks on the pedals were still fairly comfortable (didn't dig into my feet at all).
And Cons:
Semi-expensive(seriously worth it though)
Disadvantages
It would also be nice if the weighted pedals would remain upright in reference to the straps. The pedal appear to be designed to stay upside-right, but they don't, so you have to fiddle with them a little to flip them upside-right before you can get your feet into the straps. It's no big deal, though, with a little practice it becomes second nature. Conclusion
I'm always cynical about exercise products, but found that I could get some good out of a cheap Walgreen's desk pedal with a screw you tightened on the axle. But cheap pedals like that don't have very smooth motion, and almost no resistance, even when I'd cut up rubber erasers and dropped them down the hole the screw goes into.Looked at so many of these before purchasing this DeskCycle Desk Exercise Bike Pedal Exerciser more expensive model. So glad I did! Quality product. Solid steel construction. Quiet and very smooth operation. Doesn't move while using it very much. Resistance is smooth and more that enough when turned up all the way. Well worth the price, would absolutely buy again.
